Linda M. McManness

Biography 

Linda McManness is a Professor Emerita of Spanish in Baylor University’s Modern Languages and Cultures department.  She received her Ph.D. in Romance linguistics from the University of Washington in 1990. Her research interests are syntax and second language acquisition.  She was the co-founder/director/professor for the Denia, Spain program for 21 consecutive years. She was also the director of the World Affairs Minor from 1992 until her retirement, Baylor in Cantabria, and Global Christian Ventures.  She is currently collaborating on an oral history project for the Heart of Texas Network for Immigration Reform, writing a history of the Baylor in Denia program, and doing translation work for HOTNIR as needed.
