Scholarships
German Division scholarships are available for majors and minors in German, and for students participating in Baylor in Germany or other study abroad programs. Scholarships may be based on merit and/or need. German faculty review applications and determine recipients. Recipients are honored at special German Division events; their names may appear in university publications.
The Jochem and Chris Burckhardt Scholarship
The Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Wendland Scholarship in German
The Burckhardt and Wendland tuition scholarships are awarded to Baylor German majors or minors through a yearly competitive application process each spring. Students must be eligible for upper-division courses in order to apply, and must enroll in at least one German course each semester for which a scholarship is awarded. Awards range from $1000-$4000 per academic year.
The Abercrombie Family Scholarship
The Abercrombie Family Scholarship was established in 2011 to assist German students in studying abroad.
Tuition scholarships for the faculty-led Baylor in Germany program are available, as well as for semester and year-long programs. After students are accepted into their study abroad program, they are eligible to apply for scholarship funds.
