Major/Minor Requirements
Due to the rich Russian artistic and scientific heritage, the study of Russian will enhance your experience at Baylor, as well as it will greatly complement any major or minor, whether in the humanities or sciences.
Requirements for a Major in Russian
Twenty-seven semester hours including the following:
- RUS 3301
- At least six semester hours at the "4000" level and nine additional semester hours at the "3000" or "4000" level
Requirements for a Secondary Major in Russian
Students from another degree plan other than BA can also earn a secondary major in Russian. Twenty-seven semester hours including the following:
- RUS 3301
- Six semester hours of "4000" level RUS electives
- Nine semester hours of additional "3000-4000" level RUS electives
- Nine semester hours of additional any level RUS electives
Requirements for a Minor in Russian
Eighteen semester hours including twelve at the "3000" or "4000" level.
Recommended electives: courses from the Slavic Studies Program.
