Minor Requirements
Students who wish to make Japanese language and culture a significant part of their undergraduate education may pursue a minor in Japanese. The minor provides an opportunity to develop greater proficiency in the language while deepening students’ understanding of Japanese culture and society.
A Japanese minor can complement majors across the university and is especially valuable for students interested in international business, education, government and public service, the humanities, communication, technology, the arts, and other fields with connections to Japan and East Asia. Students interested in a broader interdisciplinary study of Asia may also explore Baylor’s Asian Studies programs.
Eighteen semester hours, including nine at the “3000” or “4000” level.
Recommended electives: any other foreign language, English, history, philosophy.
