The German Honor Society – Delta Phi Alpha

Requirements for application.

• Completed at least one 3000 or 4000-level German course (taught in German);
• A German GPA of 3.5;
• A cumulative Baylor GPA of 3.0.

Initiation fee is set each year based on funds available in the German program. It ranges from $10.00 to $30.00.

The Delta Phi Alpha Induction Ceremony is the final Spring Kaffeestunde each year. Applications open in March and have a deadline in early April for consideration.

Occasionally, the German program will hold a Winter Induction Ceremony. Please contact Dr. Cindy Walter-Gensler by October 1 if you have become eligible through the completion of a spring or summer course. Especially if you are planning to study abroad in the coming Spring and would not be on campus for the Spring ceremony.
